2010 Cherry Pit Junior Regatta

Traverse Area Community Sailing is pleased to invite junior sailors to join us in our annual Cherry Pit Regatta on Monday, June 28! Again this year, in addition to to the afternoon regatta, we plan to offer an instructional seminar in the morning (10 - 11:30).

The Notice of Race and the application are available HERE.

This regatta is open to all Junior Sailors (ages 8-17), regardless of club affiliation, and will be sailed in the following classes with a minimum of 5 boats needed per class:

A) Single handed - Lasers (Full, Radial, & 4.7)

B) Doublehanded - Club 420's

Classes are required to have 5 or more.

TACS may be able to supply boats to interested sailors on a first come first served basis. Contact Jim Sorbie at 231-590-5341 or at jimsorbie@centurytel.net for information.

After the regatta join us back at Hull Park (600 Hannah, near the corner of Woodmere & Hannah, see map below) for the awards ceremony and a picnic.

2008 Cherry Pit Junior Regatta

Traverse Area Community Sailing would like to to thank all the sailors who joined us for this year's Cherry Pit Regatta! We had 19 sailors competing in very challenging wind conditions.

This regatta was open to all Junior Sailors (ages 8-17), regardless of club affiliation, and was sailed in the following classes:

A) Single handed - Lasers (Full & 4.7)

B) Doublehanded - JY 15s
