Fleet of the Future Program As student demand for TACS' program continues to rise, so does demand on our fleet of boats. In an effort to provide quality boats our goal this year is to replace our well-used Sunfish (some have been with us since our early years) with newer Lasers.
The Laser gives us the option of mounting three types of rigs: 4.7 for smaller individuals (ages 10-12), Radial (teens and smaller adults) and Full (Adults). These optional rigs provide maximum teaching opportunities for the novice to the competitive sailor. Our experience has found that the Laser is an excellent sailing vessel for young children to adrenalin seeking adults. Please consider a donation to help us achieve our fleet goal in 2012 as TACS continues to provide a platform for sailors of varying sizes and skill level, as well as, provide excellent value for our community sailing program.
